For example, I think it would’ve been nice if the herb-seasoned chicken chunks were warmed up, because I’m slightly afraid of cold chicken. The vegetables for the most part looked fresh, although I was disappointed that there was a lot of iceberg lettuce, which has as little redeeming value as the new Britney Spears reality show, “Britney and Kevin: Chaotic.â€ĭespite the goodness that I discovered in the Wendy’s Mediterranean Chicken Salad, there were a few things I wish Wendy’s had done to it. The feta cheese and the vinaigrette dressing gave the salad a nice tangy kick. Putting all of that together made for a pretty good tasting and decent sized salad.

Well it seems the chefs in the Wendy’s kitchen also have been watching a lot of the Food Network because they put a nice crumbled heaping of feta cheese on their new Mediterranean Chicken Salad.īesides the feta cheese, the Mediterranean Chicken Salad comes with herb-seasoned chicken chunks, iceberg lettuce, Romaine lettuce, red leaf lettuce, grape tomatoes, cucumber slices, red onion rings, and a package of red wine vinaigrette dressing. Those chefs really like feta cheese and are very liberal with it, like strippers are with cocoa butter lotion. While fast forwarding through all the parts that don’t have Rachael Ray, I noticed that a lot of the chefs on the Food Network use feta cheese on a lot of things, like salads, pizzas, and pastas. Now I record a lot of shows on Food Network because I need to add more material to my never ending loop of Rachael Ray shows playing at my Rachael Ray shrine. The rest of you, I’m sure, are going to lose your fucking minds. When I think of classy things, I think of fine wine, Gwyneth Paltrow, and feta cheese.įeta is one of those “special” cheeses not found with the trailer trash cheeses like American, cheddar, swiss, mozzarella, and, of course, Velveeta, which is as classy as shiny, spinning hubcaps.įeta cheese is usually located in the deli area near other cheeses with funny names, like asiago, gorgonzola, taleggio, limburger, and smelofarts. And that’s coming from someone who’s not a big Star Wars fan. It’s not like I’m not going to see this, and probably more than once.

Really, though, aside from the images and a few lines of dialogue, I’m not that much closer to knowing what to expect than I was when the first trailer debuted. And I’m guessing Ridley and Boyega are more or less our protagonists–Boyega in particular looks like he could be the MVP, acting-wise, as a Stromtrooper who, I’d assume, switches sides. My suspicion is that Hamill doesn’t really have that much screentime (and Fisher probably doesn’t either), leaving most of the original-cast face-time to Harrison Ford.

We also haven’t seen any of Mark Hamill (aside from his hand), but we did get a glimpse of Carrie Fisher. I still have no real idea what the story is, and we’ve seen only a little of Oscar Isaac and none of Lupita Nyong’o (curses) or Max von Sydow (blast). That first shot of the door sliding open to reveal Ridley’s masked and goggled face, or the fascistic rally, presumably presided over by our villain, Kylo Renn (Adam Driver, who I maintain is part of some strange continuum along with Justin Long and Ezra Miller), or the Millennium Falcon emerging from hyperspace…there are some fine images on display here. I appreciate how restrained it actually is–how many blockbuster trailers end on so quiet a note? And from what we’ve seen, Abrams has delivered a far more visually dynamic film than any of the prequels (and possibly than any Star Wars film since Empire). That said, there’s a fair amount to admire about this trailer. It created a greater sense of excitement and anticipation, had one of my favorite shots we’ve seen of the film to date (Daisy Ridley thrusting her hand into the frame dramatically, towards John Boyega, who’s panting and sweating dramatically, who takes her hand and rises out of the frame–dramatically), and I preferred the music on display. I’ll be honest–I liked the second trailer better. It would be wrong to deny the world my thoughts. Well, this is obviously the trailer everyone’s talking about.
